So it's a day late but Brinley turned 8 months old yesterday! She is growing way to fast. She is on the go all the time crawling, pulling up and standing. It's only a matter of time before she lets go and walks across the room. I have a feeling that is going to be an emotional day as well as her turning 1. I think she is starting to grow out of the baby stage and is developing her own personality. Brinley is always making us laugh all the time. She is so happy and everyone always comments on how happy she is. They also comment on how beautiful her eyes are. I feel like I say "No Brinley" more that 100 times a day. She warms my heart everyday and I can't imagine life without her.
She got an early Christmas present from her Uncle Dan and Aunt Alea and it was so cute that I decided to take her monthly pic in it. She however was not to cooperative. She doesn't care to much for the puffer vest but hopefully she will get used to it.
Thank you Uncle Dan and Aunt Alea for the super cute outfit. We love you!
B was not to into taking her pictures this month. She is beginning to be very much like her dad when it comes to pictures. Greg would rather have a tooth pulled than smile for a picture! I hope Brinley grows out if this because I am always taking pictures, she just might as well get used to it now!
What is Brinley up to?!
- She still nurses for her morning and evening feeding and eats around 4 - 6 oz of formula about three times a day from a bottle.
- She eats solid food twice a day and is starting to dislike baby food. She really would rather feed herself.
- She sleeps about 10 hours at night and takes at least two naps during the day!
- She gets up at about 7AM and is asleep by 8:30
- She is eating puffs and yogurt melts!
- She still only has 2 teeth on the bottom, but I think she might be getting another one because she has been very fussy and has a bad runny nose!
- She had been wearing size 1-2 diapers but just last week we switched to size 2!
- She wears a size 1 shoe
- She wears a few 3-6 month tops but mostly 6-9 month tops and 6-9 month pants.
- She doesn't care to much about her pacifier unless she is very tired.
- She can hold her bottle all by herself but chooses not to most of the time.
- She loves bath time=) We finally got some bath toys and she could sit in there and play for hours. She however doesn't like to have the water sprayed on her head!
- She loves to splash!
- She definitely knows who mommy and daddy are and when we leave the room or come back in. She is having attachment issues!
- She loves Coco, but Coco doesn't care to much for her. Brinley like to "pet" her and play with her toys. Coco isn't really into sharing!
- She says "Mom Mom" and I love it. She also says "Baba"
- She claps for herself and everything else!
- Sometimes she waves but she really doesn't have it down yet.
- She gives open mouth kisses and then claps and smiles really big after!
- She is CRAWLING everywhere and I am constantly picking things up and putting them up higher!
- She pulls up and stands, very wobbly still!
- She had her first boo-boo and black eye! She feel on a toy at the sitters. Jennifer (the sitter) said it just broke her little heart and she cried to no end!
- She loves all her toys especially if they make noise. She goes from toy to toy with a very short attention span.
- She loves music and likes to dance to it!
- She loves other kids and just stares at them when she hears them cry or scream.
- She is super happy when she wakes up in the AM and from a nap.
- She is a noisy little girl! She is always making noise and she loves to hear herself! She talks and screams all the time.
- She loves to be outside but it is very cold now and she doesn't get to go out much.
- She is finally figuring out a sippy cup and starting to use it!
- She sleeps in her own crib in her own room!
- I have no idea what she weighs or how tall she is. We will find out next month. All I know is that almost all her pants are to short and she has quite the belly!
Brinley Nicole,
We love you more than you will ever know. Each day we love you even more than the day before. Your smile makes everyday a wonderful day. I pray that we are teaching you right from wrong and that one day you will understand why we tell you NO so much! You are growing way to fast and developing your own personality. Your dad and I couldn't ask for a more perfect daughter. We thank God everyday for choosing us to be your parents. We know that we can make it through as a family!
We love to the moon and back,
Mommy and Daddy
