B and her Purse

When we left the house this evening B was not going to go anywhere without her purse. This was the first time she wanted to take anything with her when we have left the house. She insisted that she take it. In the car all she did was take her stuff out and then put it back in.

I just love this girl!

Spring Pictures

Pictures were taken by Scantling Photography. Thanks so much Lora, you always do an awesome job!

Since we did Brinley's B-Day pictures early I wanted some pictures done closer to her actual birthday! I just absolutely love them!

This is one of my favorites! I have one at 6 months with her sitting between us!

This one is Greg and I's absolute favorite to date!

Happy 1st Birthday Brinley!

I can't believe my baby girl is already 1 year old. The time has gone by so fast. She is developing quite the personality. I absolutely love the stage she is in right now. Brinley is so fun and is on the go all the time. She catches on to things so quickly and is way to smart for her own good. She knows when she isn't supposed to be doing something because she looks at you and shakes her head no!

1 year stats
weight: 21 lbs 12 oz - 61%
height: 31 in. long - 95%
head circumference: 45.1 cm - 50%

What is Brinley up to?!
  • She is eating all table food. She eats breakfast, lunch and dinner with 2-3 snack times. She has a bottle 3 times a day... when she wakes up in the morning, at nap time and at bedtime. Sometimes she doesn't want one at nap time!
  • She eats anything she can pick up on her own.
  • She tries to eat with a spoon but just gets frustrated and then uses her hands!
  • She is drinking apple juice and water from her sippy cup!
  • She is eating yogurt, cereal, crackers, jello, muffins, cereal, and anything mom and dad are eating.
  • She is sleeping 11-12 hours at night!
  • Her schedule: 6 ounces at 8AM with some of whatever dad is eating, nap around 10AM, lunch at 12PM, a 6 ounce bottle and nap at 2PM, snack at 4:30PM when we get home from daycare, dinner at 6PM, bath time, 6 ounce bottle and bed at 8PM.
  • She has 8 teeth... 4 front top and 4 front bottom!
  • She eats anything she can pick up on her own.
  • She is a super happy and smiley baby. People always comment on how happy she is!
  • She loves to read books and will sit with them for quite a while. (Being a momma and a teacher, this makes me so happy)

  • She is in a size 2 diaper. I think we will get 3's next time we go to the store though.
  • She wears a size 2 or 3 shoe, it depends on the brand.
  • She is wearing 12 month clothes.
  • She cannot stand to have her diaper changed and would rather run around without clothes on.
  • She sucks on her fingers when she is tired.
  • She is having major separation issues from mommy and daddy.
  • She loves bath time and is finally in the big girl bath tub. (She is no longer in her baby bathtub.)

  • She loves to give Coco hugs and kisses. Coco doesn't care for it so much!
  • She love to give open mouth kisses and will make a kissing sound when you ask for one.
  • She says: momma, dadda, ba-ba (for bottle and bath), bub, papa, and baby.
  • She waves "hi" and "bye" to everyone.
  • She shakes her head for yes and no, but hasn't said them yet.
  • She has a "CHEESE" face and will not make it as soon as she sees my camera.

  • She will stand on her own and has taken up to 5 steps but will not walk by herself. She will hold on to one of your fingers and walk everywhere but as soon as you let go she is on her knees.
  • She climbs on and over everything.
  • She loves music and starts to dance anytime she hears it.
  • She loves other kids. She will stare at them forever and then wants to touch them.
  • She is so happy when she wakes up from sleeping.
  • She is noisy!! She is always screaming, grunting, talking, and just making noise in general.
  • She has learned how to make a clicking noise with her tongue.

  • She loves to open and close doors and drawers! Baby proofing is in full force.
  • She will try to put on her socks and shoes, When she gets frustrated she hands them over to us to putt on.
  • She loves to be outside!
  • She is in her own crib in her own room.
  • She is in a convertible car seat.
  • She spends the day with her cousins while I am at work.

Brinley,
"B".....You are 1 year old. It is so hard to believe that it has been a year since you were born. I remember that day like it was yesterday. We was so scared that we were going to loose you. Thanks to the awesome nurses and doctors, you are still here! We cherish every moment with you and are always looking forward to the next big mile stone that you will meet. However we also wish that you would stop growing so fast!! Yo are becoming more of a toddler and less of mommies little baby every day! It make me cry to think of the day that you wont need me like you do now! You have a wonderful personality and make us laugh at everything you do! You love to give kisses and to be outside, it doesn't mater what you are doing as long as you get to be outside. You love to give Coco hugs and kisses. You are just so perfect in every way...but you can throw a tantrum if you don't get what you want! I know it's not supposed to be funny but I can't help but to laugh at you when you throw yourself on the floor and kick your legs and scream! You will always be my baby girl no matter how you act and how fast you grow up. I love you so much.
Love,
Mommy and Daddy

1yr BDay Pics

Thanks to Lora Scantling of Scantling Photography! She is amazing!!!!

We took B's Bday pics a little early so I could use one on her invitation! It has been so hard not to show these to everyone!

Brinley's 1st B-Day Party

4-17-11

Brinley,
I cannot believe that we are celebrating your 1st birthday. It seems just like yesterday that we were taking you home from the hospital. I know that you won't remember anything from this day, but know that you are a very loved girl. You have a bunch of family and friends that love you so much. And they were here to make your day a very special one. Your mommy and daddy love you so much and want you to know that you had a great party!
~Mom and Dad

I absolutely LOVE the invitations!!!

Brinley doesn't actually turn 1 until Thursday April 21, 2011. That weekend is Easter weekend so we decided to have her B-Day Party the weekend before. Brinley is so spoiled and loved, she has no idea. We had about 40 people in the shop for B's B-day! Thanks to everyone who showed up to make her day special! I put a friend in charge of pics without much instruction and then after it was all over, I thought, oh no, I didn't get a pic of B with her guests. So sorry about that.

The CAKE!
I was not happy with the way it turned out for the amount of money I spent on this thing. The top tier was suppose to be pink and black checkered, not diamond and the whole thing was supposed to be airbrushed. Everyone else liked it though!

Birthday Princess!!!

All Most of the kiddos that were there!
B would not let me leave her there by herself.
Reese, Ady, Baby Logan, Tori, Taryn, and Jax
missing: Alex, Wyatt, Maleah, Addy

B opening up presents

She loved the wagon that her daddy and mommy got her! She had everyone pulling her around in it the rest of the time!

 CAKE TIME!!

 Tori, Tory, and Ady

Papa Gene and B

Family Pic, B was done by this time!

Decorations: I bought these Birthday banners from a friend. Excuse the race banner hanging above but the party was in the shop so we had to make due!

I made these cupcake liner garland strands. They were so easy! I found them on a friends blog and decided that they would be great for B's party!

Tissue Poms were bought from a friend and some more of the cupcake liner garland that I made!

Monthly Picture Banner - This is hard to see because it wasn't hanging against anything. I had a picture for every month of Brinley's first year. I also found this on a friends blog and I loved it.

Brinley's Party turned out wonderful. I was worried about it being out in the shop but I am very glad that we had it out there. It was so nice outside and so many friends and family showed up. A big thanks to Uncle Dan and Aunt Alea for taking pics and video of Brinley's big day!! We love you!

Random Pics from April

I am so behind on blogging, so I am going to do a picture catch-up. These are some random pics from April.

4-7-11 - Greg was letting Coco out in the morning and saw these deer walking down the street. By the time I got my camera and out the door quietly, they were running off. It was very cool to see them up so close in our neighborhood!

Later that day, Taryn (my friend's daughter that I watch after school) took B outside to walk with her lion. B loved it and left her sunglasses on most of the time!

close-up

4-9-11 - Roxi and I at the High School Prom: Roxi is the Senior Class Sponsor and had to go to prom. Her husband didn't want to go and she didn't want to go by herself so I was her date. We had a blast!

Victoria and her date Curtis.
Tori is only a Freshman and was lucky enough to be asked to go to Prom by Curtis. I think she had a great time!

Tori, Me, Courtney
Courtney, also a Freshman, was asked to go to prom as well. These two girls going to prom made me feel way to old!

 4-12-11 - Bath time!!!
Who doesn't love a naked baby bottom?!

4-16-11 - Maddie stayed with us for the weekend. Her mom and dad went racing and Maddie wanted to stay with us because she didn't want to miss B's B-Day Party (which was on Sunday 4-17-11)
I love this pic. B's cheese face is priceless. I didn't even ask her to do it this time!

We picked Courtney up from her friends house on Saturday so she could come to the party also!

OK, now to post B-Day party pics and 1yr pics! My baby is growing up way to fast!
