9 Month Pics

We went to Yukon on Saturday to take Brinley's 9 month pictures. Lora Scantling from Scantling Photography does such a wonderful job and her prices are great. You can check out her webpage here! She took a lot of pictures. I only chose a few of my favorites so that I don't have a picture overload!! ENJOY!!!

Brin is growing so fast. I cannot believe that she will 1 yr. old in less than 3 months!!!  I am already starting to miss the baby phase of her life (even though she hasn't ourgrown it yet), though I am enjoying the beginings of the toddler phase (which she seems to be getting to faster than I want her to)!!!

Happy 9 Months Brinley!!!

My goodness..... Can this precious girl already be 9 months old?!?! Yes she can! And I can't believe it! I know I say this every month, but the time is just flying by. Each day Brinley becomes more of a toddler and less of a baby (tear)! She gets more and more personality and I am constantly told that she looks just like her daddy! (which I think is just fine)
Each month these pictures get harder and harder to take. She doesn't like to sit still anymore and it takes every trick I know of to get her to sit for a few pictures. This time I got only 2 good ones in the chair, she absolutely refused to stay in it any longer. So I have pictures of her standing!!
What is Brinley up to?!

  • She no longer nursing. I weened her the week of Christmas.
  • She eats  an 8 oz. bottle for her morning feeding and about three more bottles about 4 - 6 oz during the day.
  • She still eats solid food twice a day.
  • She is eating more and more table food each day and is starting to dislike baby food. She really would rather feed herself.
  • She sleeps about 10 hours at night and takes at least two naps during the day!
  • She gets up at about 7AM and is asleep by 8:30
  • She is eating Baby Mum-Mums, cereal puffs and yogurt melts!
  • She has 2 teeth on the bottom and is getting 4 teeth in on the top!
  • She is finally in a size 2 diapers!
  • She wears a size 2 or 3 shoe, it depends on the brand!
  • She wears 6-9 month tops and 6-9 month pants.
  • She doesn't care to much about her pacifier unless she is very tired.
  • She can hold her bottle all by herself but chooses not to most of the time.

  • She loves bath time=) as long as she gets to play. As soon as we start to wash her, she starts to cry!
  • She loves to splash!
  • She definitely knows who mommy and daddy are and when we leave the room or come back in. She is having attachment issues!
  • She loves Coco, but Coco doesn't care to much for her. Brinley like to "pet" her and play with her toys. Coco isn't really into sharing!
  • She says "Mom Mom" and I love it. She also says "Baba"
  • She claps for herself and everything else!
  • She has started to way hi and bye! And she waves all the time, it doesn't matter if you are leaving or not!
  • She gives open mouth kisses and then claps and smiles really big after!
  • She is CRAWLING everywhere and I am constantly picking things up and putting them up higher!
  • She pulls up and stands while holding onto things very well!
  • She has started to walk around the coffe table and has let go a few times but falls!
  • She loves all her toys especially if they make noise. She goes from toy to toy with a very short attention span.  Although is does spend a lot of time at her stand up toy that she got for Christmas.
  • She loves music and will dance to it anytime we she hears it!
  • She loves other kids and just stares at them when she hears them cry or scream.
  • She is super happy when she wakes up in the AM and from a nap.
  • She is a noisy little girl! She is always making noise and she loves to hear herself! She talks and screams all the time. She has started to growl at us too!
  • She loves to be outside but it is very cold now and she doesn't get to go out much.
  • She is drinking out of a sippy cup with her meals!
  • She sleeps in her own crib in her own room!

Snow Day!!

It SNOWED and......School was CANCELLED!!!! I got to spend all day on Thursday with my precious baby girl. I got the call at 5:45am. I was super excited because I hadn't expected to have a day off at all, in fact I hadn't even watched the weather in a few days and had no idea that it was going to be as bad as it was in the morning. Days like this make me want to be a stay at home mom!!!

She was using the door as a drum!

Who Me?

I love when she sits like this!

Since Brinley can't walk on her own yet, we haven't really gone outside to play in the snow the few times that it has snowed. So I took her out in it on Wednesday. She didn't really know what to think of it. She just stared at it for a while and then wanted to sit in it! Haha!!

Love her hat!

Our Week

Well my next post was supposed to be on Wednesday (about B's new carseat) but that day came and went (and I haven't taken any pics yet). It was a busy week at our house. I had a basketball game on Tuesday. On Wednesday The McCartney girls came to stay with us for the weekend because their parents went to the Chili Bowl (Inside Dirt track racing in Tulsa, OK.). Greg and I have been going to the Chili Bowl for the last 5 years. Two years ago we finally put our name on the list to get tickets (we usually just get pit passes and stand to watch the races) and got 4 so Stacie and Ross started going with us. We always have a good time and last year was probably the best. I was pregnant and thought I would be the party pooper but I had a blast. We even ate pizza at a club with Tony Stewart. So this year was a bit bitter sweet when Greg and I came to the conclusion that we should stay home. For 2 reasons. 1. We (meaning I) was not ready to leave Brinley for 4 nights. 2. Greg wants to race at Texas Motor Speedway in March and I didn't want to take off of work for both events. So we sold our tickets to some friends and stayed home. But we had a great time with theses girls!

Courtney, Jordan, and Madison

We had a great time. Brinley just loves the girls. Every morning when she woke up, she would crawl around looking for them until they got up and then clap and smile so big when they finally talked to her or picked her up.

These girls were such a big help with Brinley. It was almost like a mini vacation from mommy hood. Haha, the only thing I had to do was change her diapers. Maddie always wanted to feed her and Jordan and Courtney were always keeping her entertained.

Brinley loved it when Maddie would read to her!

Thursday the Skeltur Conference Tournament started. Courtney is on the H.S. basketball team and my sister is a H.S. Cheerleader. The girls and boys both did a great job. The girls played in the Consolation Game and the boys played for the Championship on Saturday. Courtney wasn't feeling well Saturday morning and actually got sick but sucked it up and played anyway. It's a good thing because there are only 8 girls on the team and 2 others were sick and couldn't make it so Court was the only relief for the 5 starters.

She played her best game yet. She ended up with 9 points. Two 3 pointers, a field goal, and 1 free throw. The girls won and they all played well. The boys lost to Pioneer but it was a good game and I am proud of them for making it to the championship game. The last time they were there was 10 years ago, when I was a Senior in H.S. at Cimarron.

I can't leave out Victoria (cheering the teams on to VICTORY!!!)

My New Ride!!

OK, So Greg and I have been talking about getting a bigger vehicle for a little while now, actually since we have had Brinley. Not serious talk because we really haven't had our car very long. We had a '03 Cadillac CTS. We bought it in October of '07 and it was a great car. I loved it when I bought it and still love it to this day! We just need a little more room. We went to OKC on Saturday to look at a vehicle we had found but didn't like it. But we found another one that we LOVED.
REMINDER: We had absolutely no intention of driving home in a different vehicle this day. This was just a great buy for us!
Well needless to say after we test drove it, I loved it, Greg loved it, and I knew he really wanted it, as did I, but I wasn't going to get my hopes up only to be crushed (or so I thought). So after many hours of negotiation with the car salesman and his boss this is what we drove away with!!!
It is a 2007 Chevy Tahoe LTZ
(I'm not to crazy about the wheels, but Greg loves them, whatever, the inside is what I love)

This is the only picture I got as it has started to snow here and I didn't take anymore pictures yesterday because a certain young lady was in need of some playtime with her mommy! I will try to get some of the inside to post on here later!
We also got Brinley a new car seat...(Details coming on Wednesday, fingers crossed)

Homecoming/Spirit Week

So last week was Spirit Week at the school I work at, Cimarron. Our Homecoming was on Friday and we played the Medford Cardinals (my husbands Alma mater)! It was quite the week at our house. (Cimarron is my Alma mater).

Monday: Sports Day (I forgot to take my camera to school so I took one with B when I got home. I of course wore OSU!

Tuesday: Ugly Sweater Day: A big thanks to my MIL for letting me borrow this sweater!! HAHA!!

Wednesday: Fairy Tale Day: I was Princess and Mrs. Hein was the Princess and the Frog! Thanks to my H.S. Cheerleader for loaning me the dress...You know who you are!!

Thursday: Multiplicity Day: just like twinkie day but get as many people as you can. Well my class wanted to all wear the same shirt. So I went to Wal-Mart and got white shirts and painted "3rd Grade Rocks" on them. We WON!!!! yeah
*Due to confidentiality reasons, I cannot post a pic of my whole class. So this is a pic of my cousin and I, Because I know her mom won't care if I put a pic of her on my post!

Friday: Blue and White Day - the Pre-K through 3rd grade and the library aid (4th grade teacher was gone this day!) spelled out BLAZERS     We WON!!!!
I love spirit week! It is so fun to see how creative everyone can be!

New Years Eve

OK, so I know that I'm late on this post but I wanted to spend my last day of Christmas vacation with my baby girl and then this week just got away from me. So I am posting it now!
We went to Greg's parents house for New Years Eve. (I know what your thinking, Lame, right?!) But let me tell you, having something this precious, completely cahnges the way you tink about things.

We didn't want to go out and get wasted or go out and be the party poopers because we weren't drinking. Not many of our friends, that live close to us, have little ones and I really do enjoy the company of my in-laws. Anywho...We went over there to play some games, eat pizza, and ring in the new year.

My sister wasn't doing anyting either so she came with us. We had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves.

Brinley tried so hard to stay up until midnight with us!!! She is normally a very good sleeper (knock on wood, haha) but since we weren't at home and forgot to bring the pack-n-play she was not going to go to sleep. She wasn't fussy or didn't throw a fit, she just wanted to be up like the rest of us. It was 11:30pm before we got this little girl to finally close her eyes. She almost made it!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful and safe New Years Celebration.
